Dartmouth Golf and Country Club recently achieved the prestigious Gold Award for Green Tourism.
In line with this agenda for sustainability, the properties at Dartmouth Green have been designed to minimise
their carbon footprint.

To achieve this goal an inherent part of the project brief was to explore the potential of new sustainable technologies
such as heat pumps, energy efficient lighting and the most efficient insulation materials and techniques.

All these technologies and more have been incorporated; not only ensuring that you do your bit to
save the world but also guaranteeing the lowest possible energy bills for the future.

Greg Dyke, the ex Director General of the BBC, has reserved one of the properties at Dartmouth Green. He is passionate about the environment, energy conservation and climate change. The Western Morning News ran a full page article about Greg and Dartmouth Green was also featured in the Western Morning News Property Section. Always ready to muck in, Greg was photographed with a bundle of thatch on his shoulder outside Broxdowne, Hawke and Merlins. Although it cannot really be attributed to Greg’s efforts, the thatching and natural stonework on this building has now been completed.
